A youth heritage & arts project connecting nature, creativity, and traditional craft.

Time: 15:30–17:30 each day

Family Exhibition & Demonstrations:
Sunday, 24 August 2025 | 14:00–16:00 (as part of National Heritage Week)

🌿 What to Expect

Join us in the native forest at Kildare Steiner School for three creative, hands-on workshops with Dúlra Cill Dara. Participants will:

✅ Learn traditional heritage skills
✅ Craft with native, natural materials
✅ Play nature-based games
✅ Explore local stories, artefacts, and ecology

Workshop activities include:

• Willow weaving

• Hazel butter knife whittling

• Nettle rope making

Led by experienced nature educators and craft facilitators, these workshops combine fun, skill-building, and cultural learning in a beautiful outdoor setting. 

Exhibition Day

Sunday, 24 August | 14:00–16:00
Celebrate what the young people have created! Join us for an exhibition and live demonstrations in the forest. Open to the general public for booking.

Tickets for both workshop and exhibition can be reserved here!

🔔 All workshop participants must attend the exhibition with a parent or guardian.

This event is free to attend, thanks to the generous support of Kildare County Council.
Donations to support Kildare Steiner School’s ongoing work are warmly welcomed.

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Booking closes 24hrs in advance of each session.
